Faye Prayer Hands
Praise the Lord! It is a blessing to share with you what God has shared with me on the subject of praise and worship. I have been born again since 1980 and since that time I have been on fire for GOD!!!! I love the Lord dearly and desire to see the Body of Christ become aware of God’s continual presence with us as we lead a LIFESTYLE OF WORSHIP unto HIM. My prayer is that what I will share will kindle the fire that it is in you to praise and magnify the name of the Lord. As we lift Him up, we are drawing all men to HIM!!!

In John 4:23 it says: Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers that the Father seeks. Here, the word Father is mentioned not God, meaning that relationship is a requirement in order for us to worship our Father in spirit and in truth. Using the word Father is very personal. A key here is that the Father seeks worshipers not worship. Worship is not a musical activity but a function of the heart, and that is where God is looking, on the heart and not on the outward appearance. God knows our heart and we cannot fool Him. People are looking on the external, what we do, how we do it, etc. We should concentrate on pleasing the Lord by expressing our love to Him. He knows that if we love HIM with all our heart, mind and soul, then He has us and we have HIM! When we draw near to Him, he draws near to us (James 4:8). It is a good thing to be lost in His Presence because everything good and perfect gift is from above!(James 1:17)

We are to Love the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul. That means with everything within us. When we do this, we are worshiping the LORD with our life! We adore Him, honor and respect Him. We always want to trust and obey the one we love. Like Abraham, when the Lord told him to sacrifice his son Isaac (Gen 22:2), the word says Abraham believed God and it was counted to him as righteousness. By Abraham being obedient, the angel of the Lord, stopped him from slaying his son and there in the bush was a ram and it was used for the sacrifice. When we are willing and obedient, we will eat the good of the land because God will provide and His provision shall be seen. This account was the first mention of Worship in the Bible, so we see that Worship is the highest form of obedience. Also obedience is threefold, it is instant, complete and it is done with a good attitude. So when the Lord is beckoning us to do something, let us have all three of these components in place so that He can always and continually get the GLORY out of our lives.

The following was inspired by God through Faye: God is not as much interested in how we feel emotionally about the circumstances around us as He is about wanting our true worship, praise and thanks. He said we should praise Him at all times; His praise should continually be in our mouths. This means that we should live a life of praise. He said “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me”. So men will be drawn wherever we are. No matter what lifestyle we live, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”, because what is in our hearts will come out of our mouths as well as being evident in our lives. Our emotions are not always edifying, but our praise is. Magnify – Philippians 1:20 talks about Christ being magnified in our bodies, in all our activities and in all our ways. To magnify means to enlarge (as in body, mind, to boast, advance, lift up, increase, nourish up). Worship does that to our spirit man. As we magnify the Lord, He increases in our lives, He is enlarged in our lives; He opens up other doors and other areas in our lives that He can work in and flow through. As we magnify Him, He will be glorified in our lives. The Glory of the Lord is the revelation and manifestation of all that He has and is. Keep in mind and remember that as we seek God for His best in our lives; He is faithful to complete what He started in us. The calling on your life is not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of the Living God who inhabits the praises of His people.

May the Lord Bless you and keep you, may the Lord make His face shine upon you, may He be gracious unto you and give you peace! I also pray for God’s continual blessing on your life.      Love, Faye
